Shhsssh! That ain't coming anytime soon. I am way too busy with work and my house project, I haven't been near a shop in months. It's sad and depressing, so much that i have engine parts laying on my kitchen table for several months now because I need to get my fix even if it's 5 minutes a day.
Brain, that pic rules. Nice!!!
Jim, that's not what we are debating here, we are trying to address radiant heat, not IAT's, only reason they are mentioned so far is because that is one of the negatives from wrapping the compressor housing.

You will not type to me that way on this forum. I live in the American Gardens Building on W. 81st Street on the 11th floor. My name is Hustler. I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself and a balanced diet and rigorous exercise routine. In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I remember reading Corky's suggestion that the charge pipe coming directly off of the compressor would benefit from ultimate conductivity (I think he suggested silver as the ideal material). I think he said insulation on the compressor was "backward thinking" after he confirmed that underhood temps were far lower than the temp of the charge air right after it exits the compressor.
