Disco Potato

Disco Potato
I'm in the process of upgrading my power goals. I am at the max for my current turbo (more psi = super heated intake and less powaaaa). I am considering the disco potato as a replacement but am a little scared that its too big for my 1.9 litre motor. Assume all the supporting mods and internal work, will this this produce 450ish hp out of my 1.8 punched 0.040 over? And at what revs can I expect full boost?
If there is some sort of convient calculator out on the net, feel free to just link me.

the disco potato is to small for 450 whp i would try a T3/4 or even a bb t3. What turbo are you running currently. 450hp how much do you have now 449? that is alot of hp, to do any better than that off the bottle it will take a big laggy turbo but if this is a drag car you probably wont notice top heavy power band the 1.9 should help with spool but it is stil lgoing to come on pretty late ot beable to make that much power.

as light as a miata is and seeing as you are only driving 2 wheels now i think you will be surprised at the traction issues you have even at 250 whp it will be wicked fast. Remember you have more drivetrain loss through all wheel drive than most miata drivetrains wich operate somewhere in the range of 15-17% drivetrain loss. A 16g would get you into the 320 whp range with good tunning a s60 would also past that i dunno just look at cfm numbers for now to get a baseline and then read about individual reviews FYI my 16g makes 2 psi by 2K rpm and 10 psi by 3K. here is site with some compressor specs it isnt miata specific but it does have alot of info. Enjoy

lots of good turbo info there....also a really good turbo would be a roller bearing T3 from a R33 skyline GTST probably a bit laggy but for that power goal, any will be....
