how is it running so far.... I'm a bit scared to buy Chinacharger....

I've only started it and checked for leaks. I'm waiting for my wide band to come in before I start the tune. Next weekend will be the test. Perhaps I may get to drive it this year

So, is there any progress to report? Having no prior turbo experience, I too am curious about how this chinacharger performs and lasts.

The bung needs to be sticking straight up. So you should have no clearance issues with it. If it is not straight up then water drops can accumulate on it and cause damage.

yeah... I'm heading out now to get a new one welded in up top. who ever welded this one on was doing it wrong...

Update: it's not blown up yet. have had the turbo for a while now. still holding up. no oil leaks, hitting boost just fine. I finally got a decent base tune in my xede so I can start pushing it harder.

No worries Rubber is gone.
