Default Used PT Cruiser Turbo

A friend gave me a good PT Cruiser turbo, metal lines, nothing else. Can this be adapted to my 1993 Miata 1.6 motor. Thanks in advance for any help.

Anything is possible given unlimited time and money. You should have asked if it was a good match.

I have a great idea.
Put that turbo in the green bin on your curb.
Then research this forum which holds a pleathora of turbos that bolt right up on miatas.

Easy: all you have to do is learn how to weld cast iron.

That is a really slick manifold/wastegate/turbine return combo thing though. I like it.

it's horrendous. The only thing that's nice is the wastegate, the rest is lame.

As an ease of manufacture/stock part, it is an interesting solution to making a realiable, simple, low boost setup. If you actually eant to go fast, yeah, it sucks (or rather, won't blow).

they're actually quite potent for what they are.
skittle owners beat them like redheaded stepchilds and they just keep on truckin, making tons of midrange torque and impressive power for how little they are.
240/300+ iirc on a basic pump gas setup
..and they spool at basically idle on the 2.4L

..but none of this makes up for how tarded OP is

That manifold/turbo is different than than the srt4, irrc. I'd have to confirm that. The motor is for sure, like a wrx vs sti.

Nope. Engine/turbo/exhaust mani is same as SRT-4. Intake mani and manual transmission are different (trans in PT is stronger than trans in SRT).

This thread is now about turbo PT Cruisers.

First video, VS my brother's 2000 M Roadster:

Second video, VS new (at the time) 2009 WRX.

https://goo.gl/photos/4BCuWJmqEfQ2CJXq8

In both of these videos, the car had a 3" exhaust and a canned tune on a Diablosport Predator -- that's it.

Loved that stupid car.

I thought that was only in the "high output" model.

I read about it like 10 years ago, so im probably wrong.

but I was under the impression that the regular turbo model that was only like 180hp had the same motor as the n/a. And the "high output" 220hp had the upgraded srt4 motor with beefy rods and such.

the regular Turbo model (the 'Touring') had exactly the same hardware as the GT. Literally identical. If you did the Mopar Stage 1 tune on both cars, they ended up in exactly the same place. It was dumb.

Difference was, the Touring was available only in an automatic, and not available with the autostick function. And those autos were known for going kablooie, even at stock GT power levels.
