Well I finally brought the miata to our new place! I've been so busy with everything these past couple weeks that I just kept it covered up at the shop.

The car is running great and still keeps me reckless. I made it home in like 20 mins last night, just having fun. Not even trying to be a dick or go overboard. I just passed every slow ************ on the road and played a bit on the back roads up here.

As it stands I'm going to just keep driving the car as is and fix all the little stuff that bothers me as time allows. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to the bigger 1.8 brakes (just bought the brackets from BRGracer), fix my overheating woes and hopefully build the motor one day.

Here's a few pictures of it that I took this morning. Also is a little tour of the new place. We're just about 100% done with everything. Since the exterminator the mouse activity has slowed down to almost nothing, which has been nice. New computer desk for her and a couple other things and it'll be finished.

Does the house have an alarm? Whats the combo to the safe? Any guns?

You forgot the little details... lol

House looks nice, car looks sycK as hell, have seen many bodykits but 4 some reason I like the stance of this one in the car. Looks very stealth ready to rip the road even from a standstill.

Well the sawed off is on a bracket under my desk and I've got a clear shot out the window down the driveway, and at the front door. lol

Thanks man! I'm considering changing the rear bumper. I'd like to get more of a OEM style bumper w/lip look to it. The front is my favorite part of the car. I think it intimidates quite a few people into moving out of the fast lane. Not everyone, that's for sure, but most people just get over. lol

Thanks broseph. The guy rocking a mullet at the gas station last night told me it was a "sick whip" and asked me how fast it was. I told him it was like a go-cart and is fast as **** and he was like "ohh man be safe in that thing". lol

So I've been driving the miata since the taurus shut off in traffic for the 2nd time, but tonight when I went to leave the shop the miata had white smoke coming out from under the hood. I pulled a u-turn and went back to the shop to pull it in to take a look.

******* heater hose is worn through from touching the downpipe. Its not dumping coolant out, but leaking just a drip or two enough to make it smoke. I still have that sweet smell stuck in my head.

So now I took the taurus home not knowing whether or not it'll randomly shut off and who knows when and where it'll happen.

I think I'm going to get a new car this weekend. I've been looking around for a used Legacy GT, but I need something right now. I cant keep playing this back and forth car bullshit with 2 junks.

Why not just replace the heater hose and make sure it is not touching the downpipe?

Yeah man, a heater hose is pretty easy to come by and you can fit it to alleviate this problem. I agree with replacing the taurus.

Is it the one that's wrapped?

Food for thought: JayL had a great reroute, see if you can find pictures. You block the stock hard return line though, and put a T in the lower rad hose. Run a line from the heater core barb 90* along the firewall towards the fender, than loop it around to the lower rad hose T. Stays completely away from the down pipe.

I did it myself, can take pictures later.

I had the same problem in my 95 with a header. I was able to put a 3/8 extension in the hard line and bend it a little more towards the firewall. Then I just used bulk 5/8 heater hose to route it and it cleared a lot better.

Curly and Sean, pictures please!!

I'm going to try and get time to work on it next week. If I can do something that isn't crazy involved time wise, I'd like to do it once and do it right.

Thanks bros!!

Thanks Curly! The pictures give me an idea of what to do. I think I'll run to the parts store on Monday and grab an assortment of fittings and a length of hose to fool with. Sizes would be a plus if you remember what you used.

So upon dwelling over this Gumby costume I've been thinking about painting the miata green. In all seriousness, I've been wanting to put my logo on the car for a long while now, but the black/green/white wont mix well with blue. So now I've come up with a new idea. What if I just paint the car to match it better?

I'm not a photoshop queen like some of you, so I'm sure these could look better but it was the best I could do.

Opinions?

I'll also throw in a shot of my logo to help get the picture.

I like the black and blue, but I've also been driving it blue since 2004 now. Maybe its time for a change, or am I just thinking too much about Gumby?

You paint this car green and I rape you, and pillage your gf/wife.

3/4" hose btw. I think. Could be 5/8".
