So hopefully it'll be back to DD status by August. Assuming everything with re-registering it goes according to plan.
The car runs like a ------- champ though. The power feels great and no ill signs that I can tell thus far.
I'm probably going to dial everything down a hair anyways to try and pass emissions. Once I get my early american plates then I'll turn it back up!

I'm probably due for a broken bone or two right about now. My right hand is just healing from the last incident. I swear the ---- was broken. Took almost 3 months to completely go back to normal, but no insurance sure helps build up my pain tolerance.
Gay as it may be, you bypass emissions by having this little gem. Not to mention cheaper insurance.
Everyone in CT has told me "its 25 years man, its 25 years". The ---- it is. CT.DMV shows 20 years or older, so I'm good.
Problem is, the car must currently be registered in CT. If not, you need to pass emissions and get the car re-registered like normal. Cant use a temp reg to do it either.
So basically you just need to PASS ONCE, then go ape ---- on the car and ---- everyone.

I was told early american plates bypass emissions. According to the DMV website, early american is 20 years or older.
Hopefully your wrong, cause I've been lusting for these early american plates for a year now.
So in other news, THE CAR RUNS AGAIN!! lol
I even fixed the loose battery issue and made a quick little custom tie down for it.
I thoroughly burped the system and no more overheating. The car sounds good and runs like a top! I took it up the hill and back and was loosing traction in 2nd gear just playing around with it.
This is what I needed to motivate me to get it back on the road. My god what a fun car.

Ill buy ya a beer if I am wrong, but I am 99.9999% positive. My friend had to go through twice on classic plates on his 87 Monte Carlo. That being said, they DID re-new his registration even though he failed and didnt get a chance to pass again. He said F*&# it now because by the time his registration renews again his car will be 25 yrs old. I think the only reason his reg. renewed was because he at least attempted emissions right before it expired so they probably assumed he would pass next time. LOL

If I get time to sneak away from the shop I'll try and get it done this week.
