Hi,

I'm trying to find some information on a turbocharger. It was sold as a Trust Greddy Type TD-04H, Compression Housing 15G, Exhaust Housing 8.5cm2, part number 11500036.

However, there is no Trust or GReddy branding on it at all.

The compressor side is stamped with TD04H and engraved with 49189-00640. Underneath that it is engraved with 070713017.

The exhaust side is stamped with the Mitsubishi diamond star, and 49189-10411 085 DUCM.

Is this the same as the turbo in the GReddy kit? If not, what are the differences, and how well would it work on a 1.6?

Looks like a greddy to me, I do think mine had a little blue tag riveted to it with some Greddy markings though.

This is the best shot I can find of my Greddy from ~2 years ago. Not too sure how it could help but can't hurt.

 

According to this thread:https://www.miataturbo.net/forum/t15093/, the number on my compressor housing is the same as on a GReddy.

But the number on the turbine housing is different.

GReddy: 10410
Mine: 10411

Is there a specific reason it matters whether or not it's out of a greddy miata kit?

 

FWIW - I don't think my Greddy turbo has any Greddy markings on it. I think they only did that on their good turbo kits.

 

Nah, just want to get an idea of whether it's different in any meaningful way and what that might mean in terms of drivability and performance.

It looks identical to the turbo in the GReddy kit but the fact that the serial number is different on the turbine housing made me scratch my head a bit.
