Probably a little louder.

I'll take that as a pro.

Exit on driver's side would have fewer bends . . . slightly less restrictive? Doubt it could be measured.

If you drive the car most of the time I'd highly suggest against... The sound will bounce off the ground back into the chassis.

If you still want to do something similar and it can fit run a 4" manga flow truck muffler as a resonator and dump it before the rear tire. I did something similar on a señtra I built a few years ago. I could fit a 3' long and 6" wide since it was fwd.

I asked ARTech to design my exhaust to exit on the drivers side.

I used a large resonator and small vibrant muffler. Benefits? It's lighter and a direct shot. Can't confirm loudness as I haven't fired the car up yet.

Terminating before the muffler SUCKS (as 18psi suggested). I cut the gawdy tip off my old custom exhaust which set the termination point roughly 7-10 inches from the bumper. The stench of exhaust was awful. A turn down helped.

Thru the hood on passenger side. I have minimal fumes. The fumes were worse when it dumped onto the ground on the passenger side not sure why but this is much better plus you can see the fire you throw everyday.
