Default DIYBOB adapter boards

Looking to make a homemade plug and play harness look like something professionally made? Check out our new DIYBOBs:

http://www.diyautotune.com/diybob/index.html

This includes a factory connector (we've got '90-'00 Miatas covered), the same breakout board from our DIYPNP, and a short anodized black aluminum case.

I saw them in the email blast, looks cool. Any chance you can get a hold of the odb0 connectors used in hondas?

somewhere I have the amp part numbers for the 2001-04 miata ECU connector...

also, do you plan to make some sort of neat OEM extension with taps like the bob?

cool stuff in any case.

What about DIYBOB?... sorry, I couldn't resist a cheap attempt at humor. Looks like a handy little item.

The outlook for '01 and later Miata connectors is pretty good. We'd actually use a 5 position connector to allow using it with some other cars as well if we pulled the trigger on it.

We're still undecided on OBD-0 Hondas but it could happen.

Why is this part cool? It allows you to make a simple, clean patch harness to hook your aftermarket ECU up to your stock wiring harness. This will work with any aftermarket management solution, especially with a MegaSquirt.

Here's what it looks like in action. This is the N76 model (the correct model for 90-00 Miatas) wired up to a DB37 pigtail off of a MegaSquirt ECU.

Here is an example of the connectorboard inside. This one happens to be one of the Nissan models and is much more complex than the N76 connector (the Nissan has a lot more pins). Hopefully you get the concept though. Solder up your pigtail to one end and plug the other end into your stock harness. BAM--you've transformed a generic wire-in ECU to a simple plug-in ECU.

ok but i will come down there and rip out all your arm hair one at a time if you keep using split loom corrugated tubing.

It's a lot better than electrical tape. Only so many things you can use to wrap an unfinished harness in.
