You should hear all the stories. I will admit that we usually have a strong head wind, once in a while it's calm. However, people whine about the heat, and swear that it's uphill, all a bunch of BS if you ask me. The wind is real though, and the flag was blowing full against us this week.

Look, my friend drives an older mustang, and the Vette behind me dialed a 12.45.

It's the white mustang next to me.

If only I didn't get excited about knowing I was going to run my time and turn the red light on like Roxanne.

And look what my wife had waiting for me when I got home

I met a guy who emailed me a video of my 2nd run, I will see if I can post it up.

You just need to do a mellow launch, although really, when I broke my transmission, I was already moving pretty fast.

No, it was the teeth on the input shaft. I mentioned it to some of us elsewhere. Hence my bushing/shim idea.

12.35? Nicely done! Is that a record for you?

Thanks Nigel, it is, however my trap speed is down. Which I want to show how awesome your injectors and Lars' MK Turbo kits are. I will do better next week.

I would think staying with all seasons, keep your torque under 230ish, and some throttle control through first and second. I'm not very experienced at the strip but you want your weak point to be your contact patch, enough so that it slips instead of hopping.

More knowledgeable folks please chime in if any of that advice is bad. I'm curious.
