Dang, not bad at all. Did you get a 60' time?
Heikki, what drag strip is still open? I want to go too...

Cool, I thought they had already shut down for the year. I'll see if I can get there this Friday, assuming I get the heater core replaced in my truck before then. :(

With me and in running condition ~1750 +- depending on gas level. Fuel Cell is 10 gallons. Not that much lighter than lightened Miata...

Very impressive 60-foot for a handling-oriented setup. What tires, specifically, were you running?

Road Racing takeoffs.
Hoosier 13/10x22 Radial slicks in 35 A compound.
It was wierd, The first trial run was 12.2 and from there on the car went slower, I had wheelspin in fourth gear way down the track, it felt like I had a flat tire. Pressure was good, and they were not corded. They seemed to have residue from glue, maybe that was building up and causing them to slip.

I changed tires to previously retired set and kept heating them more in the burnout area. They seemed to work without detoriating and I got continuous low 12 sec times.
I also dialed the rebound off from front shocks and ran them in 28 psi against normal 14 psi tire pressure.

Very cool; as a guy who appreciates going fast in many forms, I've spent some time at the drag strip. I know sometimes track prep can make a big difference - especially depending on whether the track uses "run groups" (e.g. fast cars, slow street cars, bikes).

I got the truck's heater core replaced this evening, so I'm planning on hitting atlanta dragway on Friday in the Challenge Miata. At its current 2218 lbs with 6 gallons of gas and stock power, it might not lay down the most impressive times, but I want to wind it out. You going to be back there this Friday?

I wasn't planning to go back until I get the Megasquirt tuned.
Let us know how stock car does there.

I had the same issue, trying to use Kuhmo 710's. They would pick up rubber off the track very quickly, giving me wheel spin in 4th gear at times. Ended up with better times, after putting my steet tires back on.
