Default 12.6@112

So I went back to the track on 18psi with 28* of timing at full boost and a 6 speed. I picked up 2 mph since the last time I was there but more importantly, I went from my previous 13.1 to a 12.6. This was with a 2.0 60' I need more clutch slippage.

Looked great! You have the rear pretty soft, right? It looks like it digs well with no wheelhop.

So, I assume you pulled the vette?

Edgewater!!! I miss going... unfortunately my toys are broken/don't run.

Let me know next time you're going, I'd like to meet/chat. Haven't ever spoken to another turbo miata guy.

Good run.

Completely stock suspension, falken zx street tires, loads of wheelhop. In that video I slipped the clutch and it did away with most of the wheelhop.
The vette ran a 12.7 and I ran a 12.8 that pass. Due to reaction times we crossed the line very close together though, I couldnt tell who crossed first. I talked to him aftewards and he said "I looked over and saw you next to me at the 1/8th and i thought, 'I am NOT going to lose to a miata.'"

That C6 Vette must be a good driver. Most of the car mags put it at 12.8 / 113 ballpark, which is right at, or just over, what he ran. Those car rags usually have a pretty hot shoe for the testing and also beat on the car a lot harder than most owners would. Talented guy or some minor mods to run that level.

How you feeling about 18psi on your stock motor? Have you put many miles on it at that level? Consider the WI a must do?

Nice run. I'm excited about turning up the boost and hitting the 1/4 again.

Slipping the clutch is essential for keeping the diff together. Tough as hell to do with your 4 puck unsprung clutch!

Very nice! Giving the C6 a run makes it even better. 0.1s is in the noise and practically a tie IMO.

If/when I get my car into the 12s I will be a happy camper. It is nice to know it is possible with some good driving and without drag radials. I assume you are slipping the clutch at launch (1st) and shifting more or less normally (quickly) after that?

Yes, the 12.6 was slipping the clutch from launch control at 4500rpm. I tried dumping it off the launch control but there was too much wheel hop. I was still running 12.7-12.8 with the wheel hop, though. I was flat shifting every gear after that and crossing the trap in 6th.

Yes, 5th is 1-1 but there is no way i have 350whp. I was running 13.1@110 on 12psi and 17* of timing.

flywheel horsepower newb :P given a 2600 lbs curb weight inluding you and your ET thats what my calculator comes up with. It says a 11.8 is possible on a hella run.

So like 290whp then? It still seems a bit high but i guess it's believable. I really need to get to the dyno.

essentialy but its prob higher given traction etc not being just perfect. On slicks etc who knows youd prob run a good bit faster.
