Default Euro 1,6 99-00 @11PSI - shouldn't this be more?

Hi folks,

I went to the dyno lately with my setup:

Euro 1,6 NB (99-00)
GT2560R
2,5" exhaust, metal catalytic converter 200cell
MS2 (DIYPNP) running sequential injection
EBC through MS2 - with the new 3.0.3u code @ ~10-11PSI (170kPa with 98kPa atmospheric pressure)

Weather was total crap for dynoing... ~38°C = 100°F

This is the dynosheet I got - the values are uncorrected.

The sheet shows 133.5 wheel-kW which equals ~179 wheel-hp.
uncorrected.

The DIN correction here is:

correction factor = (1.013 mbar / atmospheric pressure [mbar]) * ((273 + temperature [° C]) / 293)

Which in my case goes like:
correction factor = (1.013 mbar / 980 mbar) * (273 + 38°C / 293) = 1.097

So the corrected value should be 179 * 1.097= 196.39 wheel-hp

(Would you confirm this?)

This is what my datalog of the run looks like:

I dont like the spool-up I see - the old T25 gave me 10 PSI @* 3000 RPM - what could cause this?

Other than that I would like to here some comments.

10psi, low-reading dyno?, 100*F, 200whp sounds pretty close. Add in a 2.5" catted exhaust and it's very believable. I made 217whp on a Mustang dyno with a '99 longblock, but that was with a 3" exhaust and more boost.

Thanks for your judgement!

Any idea about the slow / late spool?

Nothing specific. Check for leaks, make sure there are no exhaust leaks. Give us a more detailed spool profile, boost vs. RPM every 200rpm from 2500 to 4000.

looks about right to me too man.
with a better flowing exhaust setup at a less hot temperature id expect around 230whp

you have a 1.6 and a fairly small turbo. those numbers are not bad

I would have guessed based on your description at about 180 whp, so seems pretty strong to me.
Euro 1.6 motors tend to have very weak cam profiles. Keep in mind that the 99's over here have 239 more cc's of displacement and more aggressive cams. Sure, my car makes about 10% more power at the same boost, but it's not a fair comparison. However your power is right where we normally see a 1.6 with a GT2560r running the same boost.

I saw "99" and automatically thought 1.8. Yeah, those are great numbers for a 1.6 with a 2560R at 10-11psi.
