Default 12.69 @ 111.5 mph

Took the car to the drag strip today and set some times. The place was really busy so didn't manage many runs (four). I didn't want to sit in a queue idling all day and raising the intake temps.

Best time was a 12.69 at 111.5mph which I was pleased with, but it was with a lousy 60ft time of 2.05 seconds.

I didn't get the launch control or flat shift working correctly, so until then I'm happy with the time.

Specs are in the sig, and was at 14psi. Anyone wanna guess what kind of power it's making?

I'd say somewhere in the 250whp range. Sounds like a solid setup, and anything over 110mph trap is good in my book. Congrats man

Respectable. Based upon this, I take back what I said about the Miata and drag racing.

Wow that's a pretty good time especially with high 60 ft times. Engine is stock or built? And what tires are you running? I think this is one of the fastest stock motor times I've seen assuming is stock from your sig.

Look up Apexonyou (sp?). He ran 11.9 @ 112 on 250whp stock block na. So this isn't he quickest, but its damn good

Wow thats amazing I will look that up. That also seems achievable by the op if you get launch control working and get a better 60 ft. 11s on stock block is quite impressive, I want

With proper rubber and good driving OP should definitely hit 11's

I either don't see or don't recognize your tires in your signature.

How did you launch?

Nice time too

What tires are you using? Good tires and a mid 1.7 60' time will put you in the 11's.

I didn't have loads of attempts to perfect a launch, so I was just blipping the throttle around 3.5k - 4k revs and slipping out the clutch while flooring it.

The tyres are Federal RS-R. They're R888 competitors, and round the racetrack they're really good, I was just struggling to get off the line. The turbo kinda spools quite late and comes in hard, so I don't think that helps.

Do you think a 1.7 60ft is possible on R888 type tyres?

Not likely. With practice, you can get it in the 1.9's or maybe an occasional high 1.8.

If you find you are going to the dragstrip frequently, get slicks. They eliminate wheel hop, and will get you in the 1.6's to 1.7's easy.

Oh the W/I isn't plummed in yet. It's still sitting in my garage until I receive a new stretch of hose.
