I dont have any wheels that have tires less grippy than my rs3s that will fit my car. I do have a set of 16s with old *** crusty *** tires that I could use, but that wouldnt be any fun. Mabe I should take my brothers 600whp sti? Hmmm.

whens the next event?

See if you lived in a place that had real weather, you'd have all seasons.

If you do everything Richard says, you might as well drive a stock Miata, it will be so slow.

Not to mention the pile of stuff I broke with my all seasons, I live in the rainiest part of CA.

You are running a 5 speed! A 5 speed!

He can still run a 13 easily with what I suggested. My 2700 lb (with me in it ) Rotrex setup ran a 14.7 at 193 whp/167 wtq on all seasons. With almost 50% more torque and huge area under the curve advantage, high 12's should be easily possible. I'm just trying to give him somewhere to set the car and still drive it home instead of choose one (grenaded diff snapped axle stripped transmission gear).

He just needs to let the testes drop and be a man. Sometimes things break, but it's not like every other miata is leaving the drag strip on a trailer. We went deep into the 11's on a stock 6sp. 132mph trap speed. One hundred and thirty two!

Btw all seasons suck. While providing the low grip fuse, they tend to hop and hop kills things way quicker than dead grip.

fuckit. Im going full sent. If I run all of it, I should skip wheel hop and just light up the tires, which I think is better than wheel hop. Yes, thats how that works.....right?

Not necessarily, if you feel any wheel hop, you should let off and push the clutch in some.

Uncharted territory for me. Andrew just twisted an axle with a clutch drop and sticky tires and ~200whp with a stock engine in Rover.

SEND IT!

Look, just don't be burnin' out with these cars. There's no point unless you have real drag tires, even then, just heating up your intercooler.

I get some tire screech on launch sometimes, but I am trying to avoid it. You need to find the correct RPM for your car to launch, just between bog and slip, erring on the side of slip.

OK, I basically had what my wife would probably call a case of "Choke'um misfire, fumblitis!" What can I say, she's a Cal fan?

Oh well, next week.
Annnd... I exaggerated I'm Marcello's thread.
It was clearly Roxanne who helped me when I had a 1.6, she's obviously still helping me.
