Had a super frustrating night, but I ran my best time yet 12.02, so close.

So I am basically on fire, decent 60's and I am beating my buddy's white mustang, he's missing shifts I am getting decent reaction times. I am all lined up to rip down the track and my window won't go up. Freaking POS
So now the jokes are flying, "Carlos couldn't get it up." So my punk *** adds, "Yeah, I couldn't get it up and I had to pull out." At least we all got some good laughs out of it. I managed to get the window up and taped into position, but I never did recover myself. Don't worry, I have a spare regulator. Next week.

Do windows up help with aero and speed in the quarter mile? I have never thought about it at all.

It's a safety thing. Windows up if no cage/window net. NHRA rule that most tracks enforce.

Which is interesting, as it's exactly the opposite of road racing rules.

Nice quote, I will have to give you props when I get on a computer. Like I said, at least we had some good laughs, basically the entire gear jammers class was laughing so hard tears were coming out of their eyes. One of the mustang guys had a similar problem more than once, he wasn't laughing, he looked concerned and wasn't rolling his windows down anymore either.

Can't get it up, can't go down the track, period. So I had to miss a run, but hey the mustang guys were like, we'll help you get it up! Good thing we're so close to SF or folks might not be so open to these things.

It's also what they require for road courses in Europe.

It's the coolest thing ever. That stack is the reason he runs these impressive times on all season 205's and a 5 speed

If I build another Miata, I'm having Carlos drive over here and drive it down the 1320 for me

Thanks guys! 11's aren't too far away, I remember when I was running 13.01 or something.

Happy to drive your Miata Vlad, and actually I am on 195's, the same old tires. Might actually need to replace them pretty soon.

Psssh! That would be a waste. Why is everyone here afraid of real slicks? They are actually easier on the drivetrain because of the pulse absorption and power smoothing that occurs. In for 1.3x 60ft times with proper tires.

QFT.

In the Drag Thread, there is discussion on the 13" wrinkle wall from M&H that will fit with 1.6 brake brackets, and is also DOT for classes that need that. It was created for the Honda market. I have the wheels, but have not yet purchased the tires.

So looking for Son to get a good 60' time and a very impressive Quarter Mile because of it.

Yeah, I need to slap an old school 4 speed in this bitch.

Anyway, went 119.6 MPH today, yep 11's are within reach on all seasons

Car 67 is my buddy's white mustang.

Here's a stock looking miata dialed in at 11.99.

And this Demon, was no where near as fast as it should have been, he didn't even line up in the groove. Don't ask, yes it is a real Demon.

Apparently my car has gained some popularity. Found a treasure trove of photos.

So not only will tires instantly get me 11's, but looks like it will pull my front wheels off the ground... Annnd probably break something.
