Don't ask me? Maybe he just didn't want to beat on such an expensive car, no idea.

I ain't too keen on new cars, which grill, ect...
But I looked at his badge before I raced him and was like, ih **** that's a Z06. Maybe he swapped badges?

I mean either way it's really sweet, but we all know a stock c7 runs low 12's high 11's at 116-118mph and a z06 is 10 more than that.

Anyways, post results from tonight if y'all line up

He's nervous because his car heat soaks like crazy (told him several times to get proper heat shielding/wrap but he's procrastinating) but should be a really close race

This Z06 with non-DOT approved slicks in "Comp Rod" and I watched him run at 121. Only watched him once, maybe it takes all day to get 128

The yellow one wasn't there, so who knows why it was 2MPH slower.

I didn't see Junior but the day of is difficult for me to make happen, my Wednesday morning and afternoon are crunch time to get to Sears Point before crazy traffic. I will call him and meet up next week.

I had reaction time dyslexia check it out, oh well, next week.

Isn't Sears Point supposed to be uphill or something?

I have to admit that upon closer inspection of that photo, I don't think that's "Comp Rod" which means those are most likely DOT approved radial slicks. He still burned out until it hooked and beat that thing down the track. It was fast and for a few seconds at the end I thought, maybe Vlad was right and it will do 130. Nope.

I asked some of the guys how fast they've seen Z06's go, almost everyone said 120, one guy said he thought he saw one go 123 or 124 once.

Must be another Mystery Spot I guess, not even a headwind yesterday.

Come down to Sacramento raceway, and I'll show you? and then we can compare our cliff-drop downhill with a tailwind track to your uphill with a headwind and a parachute deployed track and solve this mystery

You mean you guys don't have a mandatory chute deployed rule for cars faster than 13 seconds? It must be huge the huge magnetic field in the hill behind us pulling us all back.

I guess since this is the only place to get any definitive information these days I will have to go to Sac. It might have to be random though, when I get a couple last minute cancellations on a Wednesday, happens once in awhile.

What a great night Carlos! Congrats!!!

I love those kinda victories. Poor corvette guy has to tell his buddies he got bitch slapped by a Miata.

Similar story plays out on the road course all the time. It’s pretty funny really!

Thanks Tom it is always fun out there, but I had a lot of good races that night.

On the Z06 subject, I found this video from that day at the track which is super long and boring. As I was skipping around looking for my passes, I did see an auto Z06 go 125, but not any manuals. I didn't watch the whole video tho, not even close.

Escargot, my car go one sisteen swiftly.

Car #50 was this super nice 69 or so Camaro with a badass twin turbo setup, if he gets his 60' down, maybe he can take me.

He was trippin' when elimination started and got behind me, he walked up and said, "Damn, your car's pretty consistent."

Look at all these freaking timesheets, this is how many are on my car, and reached 30k boosted. Thanks Lars!

That stack weighs as much as a cat.

Oh yeah new dog, no I ain't buyin' tires, I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled first remember, not really looking forward to that.

Ok, chatted with an auto Z06 guy who ran 124 today, said he never ran faster than 127. He had a 1/4" block of wood under the throttle, I swear. Said he went too fast and was adding another 1/4", he was an older guy. Said the fastest with no wood was 127.

Maybe I should stop posting this ****, basically the same boring results time and again, but yes, this car is running.

Lol passive aggressive trash talk is part of the fun
I’m pretty sure you have more passes/slips than everyone here, that’s something to be proud of

Haha the wood block! Old school bracket racing stuff.

What boost are you running on this?

Get your teeth out soon, so you are healed enough, and comfortable with your dentures and glue by the time miatas at (whatever the track is called now) laguna seca rolls around.

I don't think I will have them pulled by then, they don't bother me at all, part of the problem. Unfortunately I have a cavity in one of them or I would be telling the dentist and my wife, **** off, I ain't never gettin' um pulled. I got 2 root canals and 4 crowns, I hate oral surgery!
