Default EMU + Knock Sensor Logging

Anyone actually have it working? I installed the emu last night and everything works perfect except for throwing a cel for the knock sensor. I have JP13 set to normal and the knock sensor setup as a non-resonant type.

i have the same problem. just cut the wires for the knock to the emanage, the emanage messes around with the voltage giving the ECU an improper reading on the knock sensor, causing to throw a malfunction code to the ECU.

i have not found a way to make it work yet. so you gotta just listen for the ping, although it would be great if you can fine tune it through the datalogging. i still will try it in the future when i get down to fine tuning, even witht eh CEL.

I used the boomslang harness and the only jumper i changed was the mazda hotwire one. Mine did that same thing though at first...when you change your parameters hit "ok" and then have it "Export Data". The software seems to not update ignition settings and when you change everything in that realtime mode it just leaves the ignition channels blank.

I recently installed an EMU into my NA 99 Miata with BS harness and also have the knock sensor code P0325. Wondering if there is any new info regarding this issue or how to fix it via software or jumpers.

edit. Jumpers 13 and 14 are both 'open' and the fan kicks in at 201F.

Mike
