So, my turbo is screaming at me. VERY little shaft play and a bit of smoke at cold start, but that clears up very quickly. dont realy know what the issue is, but i am almost 100% sure that the sound is coming from the turbo.

I dont really want to deal with this turbo, because it sucks. Its a tdo4 9g, and it seems like its so damned small it would be better for a motorcycle. I would rather wait till I get my tax return, combine it with some money I am trying to hide from myself, and get a greddy, or begi kit (I live in california so i want carb sticker, ******* sherrifs roll around in pairs around here)

I dont need advice on which kit to buy (I want begi if i can save enough)

I am wondering weather it is worth it to hook up the emb I just bought and play with it while i am na?(I am planning on buying a wideband as soon as I get paid for a freelance job that is in progress)

i say do it...im curious what a 9g turbo looks like. that sounds like its REALLY really small

 

it is small, I am exaggerating a bit though, compared to na, its ******* great, winds out 5th gear like nothing(is300s watch out, and on that subject, will all you ************* in 4banger accords please stop ******* with me, your just going to embarrass yourself). It works fine at 5 to 6 psi, I have not pushed it past that yet because i have no ic right now. Im sure It would still be fun at 8 to 10 psi, but i imagine its pretty useless after that. nice quick spool though, even with my stock exhaust(spools sometime between 2 and 2.5k)

Will probably rebuild the turbo and sell the kit cheap as **** on here so someone can get some jollies out of it after I figure out what direction I am going(unless I find an old p.o.s. escort gt to play with

 

Install the EMB, you can still play with timing and learn the software. If you have a WBO2 you migh be able to adjust your fueling as well.
And my T25 is probably just as small, it's still fun...
