Default Profec e01 as a programmer for e-manage ultimate?

Does anyone know if a (profec)e01 can be connected via USB to the ultimate? It can be used on the e-manage blue, but can it be used on the ultimate?

We all know the trouble of riding 'round with a laptop, batteries going empty much too fast, being in the middle of an adjustment and the laptop going into hibernate or worse shut-down.

Cheers,

Timo

I'll answer my own question then: It cannot be done with the Greddy e01, only works with e-Manage Blue. I bought a current inverter and have enough current to keep the old laptop going.

I still use it, but it's on my summer car so removing for a few weeks wouldn't be a big deal.

Yeah I noticed after I made the offer you are both 15K miles away from me... But maybe someone stateside here would be willing?

Does the EMU connect to a palm pilot?

The MS does (on my other car), I haven't played around with it alot though (my laptop has a 6hr battery and that car is pretty much dialed in)

The EMU software is only available for the Win32 platform.

To interface an E01 to an EMU you would have to bypass the USB interface and connect directly to the on board CMOS, and then you would need to rewrite the firmware to work with the EMU. Not going to happen.
