Anyone else using sds?
Simple Digital System EM-5
Anyone else running this?
Looking for thoughts on it compared to bigger names such as megasquirt.
I am using a sds em4 on my brp supercharger setup.

it took me 8 full scrolls down the page to find an ECU that looks like it was developed in 1990 on a webpage that wasn't created much later...
the Lean/Rich tuning module with radioshack connectors is beyond entertaining to me. Thanks.

I used an SDS system on a 87 crx I turbocharged about 9 years ago. It does work. In my case I had to measure modify and glue magnets into my factory crank pulley and the system did work very well. That being said it is a system designed in the 90's looks like it and acts like it the LCD programmer is simple to use and the adjustment increments are in 500rpm increments if i remember correctly but it is lacking a lot. You can tune a car pretty well on it, it will take you many many hours to do and you need a laptop with windows 98 or 95 I cant remember or you are limited to the LCD screen. Also to get all your read out you will need lots of gauges. Just save yourself the time and money and buy a megasquirt. If you really wanna get involved in building a harness from scratch then buy an AEM EMS4 or a used haltech or similar. If its a miata megasquirt is the way to go hands down.
