BP4W into 1.6 miata which CAS?
little back ground for you guys. I have swapped a few BP05 engines into my 1.6 car before and never had a problem in the past. Now with my 1.6 CAS on the 4W head I advanced the timing all the way to the stop and I'm only at 10-10.5* past top dead center.
Little more background. I have BEGI reroute on the back of the head which required me to Flip the Flyin miata coil pack bracket upside down to allow for clearance there. Because of that, if I put a 1.8 CAS in the head the plug on the sensor interferes with the coil pack. I could remove the coilpack and relocate it but what I need to know is if the 1.8 CAS Will allow me to advance the timing anymore then it already is. I'm targeting 14* past tdc. My last resort is going to be milling the slot in my CAS.
Disclaimer: the diagnostic box was jumpered, timing belt is right, and my plugs are in the right spot, so WTF!?

its a Lemons car so using a MS kinda puts me out of the $500 car budget. I know several teams still run them especially on the west coast but we are trying to "honor" the spirit of lemons. Plus I'm probably going to need that money for a fire suppression system, its likely they will require that for next year.
So does anyone have anything helpful to give me? Is it possible I have the trigger wheel flipped 180*. It wouldn't seem like that is the case, as I am still at 10*
