How stable is your MTX-L?

I've been running with an MTX-L for about 2 years now, and it's always been a little "jumpy". It rapidly fluctuates about ±.4 tenths at idle, and about ±2 tenths of a point while running. For example, in boost if my target AFR is 13.5, It will rapidly fluctuate between 13.3 and 13.7. I always assumed this was normal based on seeing some Youtube videos and a few other Miatas.
Last night, I was driving my buddies FD doing a first run after a rebuild, and his MTX-L was dead nuts on target. No fluctuation whatsoever. At idle, it stuck exactly where it was supposed to, with an rare .1 spike. When driving, it was smooth and on target. I question if it had to do with the tune, as we had just loaded a base map and were tuning cells as we drove.
Is this just a difference in the cars or is there something in LM programmer that can change how quickly it operates? I would love for my gauge to be as silky smooth as his was.

The secret is having a proper tune.
Also anyone trying to get the gauge to "slow down" and start "averaging out" the display or output is borderline retarded. That's the only thing that is GOOD about the MTX-L pretty much, its fast and precise reading.

I'm sure proper tune has a lot to do with it, but I have been running mine for a little over a year and it sounds like yours, all over the place it seems.
I am running the stock ECU with a fuel card.
Just this week I installed a new sensor, but this time installed a heat sink. Don't know if the sensor made the difference or the heat sink. I tend to think it was the heat sink.
It is much more stable now.
