Default older safeguard with bipes acu

for some of you oldtimers out there that may remember some of this stuff. There is an older version J&S safeguard installed in my car right now. It is the one that does not use rpm or vacuum or anything. Mine uses the cam angle sensor, a reading from the MAF, and a knock sensor. this is what it looks like.

anyways, I also have a bipes acu (not installed) and from what ive read this is slightly better than the old safeguard because the safeguard will often retard too much timing and take too long to return back timing. plus it only does so once knocking actually starts.

Is there a way i can run these both together? to let the bipes do the majority of the work to prevent knock and let the safeguard run as protection if it ever senses knock in the sensor?

I talked to john but we seemed to get a little crossed up on details. He said they can just run inline on the cam sensor angle wire. However, the Safeguard uses the Cam angle, and the Bipes uses the Crank angle.. so the whole conversation got a little confusing.

so i thought id ask out here if anyone has actually done this in the past or know of a way it can be done. thanks!

use the Bipes to retard based on rpm, use the J&S as protection from knock.

im confused on the bipes instructions because in their diagram they show CRANK angle sensor. Then they label you get that from 2e on my 1.6 ECU, however the pinout for 2E is read as CAM angle sensor on all the diagrams that ive seen on other sites. So which is it?

ok, i somehow did not know that. That makes a lot more sense though.
So i'll wire it like so:
Cam sensor to Bipes
Bipes to J&S
J&S to ECU.

that way the j&S receives the info last and will only adjust if it needs to?
