Default Running into issues using Kraken EV14 700cc injectors

Hey all, here's a link to the injectors for reference: https://kraken-mx5.eu/shop/ev14-700c...pnp-injectors/

I have a mostly stock NB1 Miata, the only engine mods being a flat top intake manifold, those injectors I mentioned, and a cat delete (from previous owner). I also have the BeerMoneyMotorsports ECU so I use Tunerstudio, although it is set up differently from MS.

I recently installed the flat top manifold and the injectors, and when I was going in to set up the injector dead times and specify the size of the injectors in Tunerstudio, the values I were given were at 3 bar of fuel pressure whereas my NB does 4 bar. Like a goofball, I forgot to note the part number, but a lot of people say the part number is 0280158235, which leads me to a page on Finjector where they have tables for different fuel pressures.

So I used exactly what the tables above show, and I specified my fuel injectors are 840cc on TS and used the deadtimes given for 4 bar. All good, right?

Nope! I have to use some ridiculous VE values to stay at stoichiometric AFR at idle at any temp range, and I'm just really confused as to why. There's no way my VE values look right (the idle cells I had to tune ranged from the 90s to 100s) and I'm really confused as to why. Some internet research suggests maybe using a washer in the injectors but that seems ridiculous to me. Does anyone have experiences with the Kraken injectors they could share with me, or help clarify what's wrong here? TIA!

Check the basics first:

1. no vacuum leaks?
2. Is your actual fuel pressure 4 bar?
3. make sure that’s your actual part number

If the above is good, then it’s likely your deadtimes are incorrect. Honestly better to ask Kraken directly, otherwise you’ll need to get close by trial and error.

deadtimes can also change from one ECU manufacturer to another based on the injector drivers, so just because you found data online doesn’t mean it’ll work for you. Hopefully someone with a MS or BMM and Kraken injectors can chime in.

post your msq and a log as well so we can check other basic configurations.
