Edit: I also wasn't sure if he was referring to the NA body or the 99-00 body.

You have two options:
1: buy skinny gears
2: buy fat pump

And yes, the answer to this question has been answered already in this thread. There are too many smart people on this forum to allow incorrect information to continue to exist uncorrected.

What's the point of shimming? Why don't you just let the oil warm up before you race it?

Option 3: But the street/strip boundary pump shimmed/not shimmed
Option 4: Buy the Race boundary pump shimmed/not shimmed

Are both of these over kill or adequate? Has anyone had a boundary pump/billet gear break/disintegrate?
