2.4 Ecotec swap. kit. 201whp
Thanks for the update and links! This seems like such a good swap, but there aren't any people finished and driving around yet that have shared pics and video...

You should have been at Deals Gap this year - there were at least four from Toronto including mine - DI motor with AC and power steering.
See, that is exactly what I am talking about! Are there videos or other info somewhere about them? The AC part is really cool, too, because MT hasn't done anything official that I am aware of.
Aw man don't tell me the DI motor works the same with the ecotec kit. I was on the fence About splurging the extra coinage with alpha fab for that motor. Granted it was K series money at that point though and those DI motors run higher compression. Must have been a cool site to see. I will have pics and video up next week when I get her back!

There are these..... two silver and one black, all Ecotec. But they're just pictures of Miatas with stickers on. I won't be back to my car until Monday - remind me to grab some shots......
Also, how is that thing 9k and you can buy LS crate motors for cheaper??
Would be a cool swap, exhaust is on the driver side and everything. Would definitely need a different oil pan. But for $9k for motor alone, you could have a wicked fast turbo ecotec for less or even a killer K build. Need more guys like MT out there putting different powerplants in these cars. What about Ecoboost??? That RS500 focus makes crazy good power.
LTG transmission sounds interesting handt looked at it before. wonder the weight of it.

Got a few videos of the finished product. Will get some more aggressive video once the clutch is broken in.

This video shows off some of the DD driveability. Going up that hill was toeing into the throttle in 4th gear. Where the old NA motor would fall on its face the ecotec handles it with ease.
People can talk all the smack they want saying the K motor is better. As a purpose built race car yes, sure, when your revving the **** out of the engine that's where the Honda shines. But on the street this car makes more power all over...unless you like revving past 7k going down main street.

Well for sure the motor makes torque, it just does not deliver it the same way. The dyno chart earlier in this thread shows the K making the same torque the ecotec does from a stop at 4k rpm. Nothing against the K but 95% of my driving is done on the street. Where the tractor torque is lovely
