I guess those dyno danamics read a bit lower then a dynojet? My bone stock 1.6 with an rx7 maf made 97whp and after a set of hks 256 cams it made 114.9. The 1.8 thats in my car now is significantly more powerful then that, i went from running a 10.1 in the 8th mile to a 9.70 without making any other changes.
Back to OPs question. My opinion is as follows, buy a MSpnp or a DIY pnp thats already assembled and learn to tune, then buy a greddy kit and have fun with it, add an intercooler and you can potentially break 200whp.

lol that would be the last thing i do. i built that from scraps. but i do have other motors. will the carb get in the way of anything or does that not even matter. cuz everything i read is about ls1 fuel injected motors i havent really seen one with a 350 out of a old school chevy

What if the OP didn't want to mess with VVT and decided to go with a 99-00 head on an 01+ block? Will not having VVT take away that much fun-factor power under the curve?
