different cams
ok my car is originally a auto car (now 5spd) but i still have the auto engine in it which i thought was mostly the same but i was just reading on solomiata that the auto cams are different!

now i still have the motor from the 5 spd swap and im wondering if it would be worth it if i swapped the cams over or is it not much of a difference? im not educated much on lift and duration etc so please give me some pointers. Thanks!

If you know what you're doing it's a 2 hour job. You need an in.lbs torque wrench for the cam caps - the torque is like 105in.lbs or something equally low. It's free power, no reason to not do it.
Keep the 5spd intake cam and swap in the auto exhaust cam. The higher lift on the 5spd intake is better suited for force feeding (BOOST!), and the -10deg. of overlap gained from using the auto exhaust cam will insure that more of your intake charge is burnt in the cyl rather than your exhaust.

For those of us with the more common manual 1.6, is there a documented benefit to using the exhaust cam off an auto 1.6?

it all depends on how your system is setup man. Yes the theoreticall gains are easily quantified but we must adress the meriad of variables in doing so or the results will end up hopelessly skewed and meaningless.
