Default Exhausts and options

I've kind of bounced around and really racked my brain. So excuse this ignorance as im really trying to search and finding minimal options/posts. So please, blast me away.

Anyways, I'm looking for exhaust options and worried about what to order; will it fit, does it line up, what "pipe" is needed.

But I'm kind of at a loss for exhausts (naturally aspirated until later on if that matters).
I'm really wanting to go with the magnaflow mufflers I have read about on here, bang for buck seems nice. But between the headers to the muffler I'm at a loss with what to look for.

I have racing beat headers on my 03 NB, bought the car with the stock exhaust decatted and deresonated and welded. I wanna get rid of the chop job and keep it as plug and play as possible with the chance to reuse for turbo set up later on but that's long ways away

Anyways, should I be looking for a specific kind of 2.5" mid pipe to use for the magna flow muffler for plug and play or am I limited to full set ups at our usual online vendors.

Thanks for any help and if anyone is selling let me know.

What is your budget?
I wouldn't sweat your choice too much. If you wanted to deviate from naturally aspirated and run a turbo 99% of the forum would suggest you run a 3 inch exhaust. So treat your exhaust choice as either N/A or Turbo, but don't try a one size fits all.

Should you decide down the road to go turbo, I would suggest paging Kraken and buying his manifold, down pipe and custom 3 inch exhaust or I would suggest looking into the MK Turbo turbo setups. I hear the guy that runs mkturbo makes full exhausts too with whatever you like.

Thanks for that suggestion you are correct. Itll be a while until I get to the turbo because I wanna be smart learn how to tune naturally aspirated with injectors intake exhaust etc. Once money comes for the turbi kraken or mk is my bet. Anyways, back to the question at hand.

I'm guessing imma stick to 2.5 I need a header back exhaust either piece together a midpipe and magnaflow or have a one system to keep it simple. Just trying to make sure I don't buy something and nothing fits. This is a little different than motorcycle exhausts (my background) lol

Budget is 600 maybe a bit more depending. Again this is all new to me for pricing exhausts I'm assuming 600 is fair but would like to keep it a little lower if feasible. If not oh well

How concerned are you about having a check engine light on for not having a cat in place? A lot of the nb exhausts have a midpipe with no cat.

Not concern at all. Just want something a little more correct than chopped up stock exhaust and muffler
