Default Fab9Tuning communication, are they still alive?

I struggle to find the right forum for this, but it is concerning engine performance parts...
Since newyear I have had a little worse communication with Fab9 regarding orders (no tracking unless pushed and late response), but for my last order the 8th of Feb I have not head anything, except two items being delivered and the rest of the order being marked as "awaiting fulfillment". No response on emails (from two different emails if spam blocked), or on message on their site.

Does anyone else know if something have happened (does phone work, not my primary communication), or is it time to open a paypal dispute to get some money back?
Even if there are huge problems with logistics today information still flows freely in the cables.

Sounds like business as usual.

Pre-order, good communication. Post order, not so much. This has been discussed not only here, but in other forums as well. You had to expect this when you decided to save a couple bucks by using Fab9.

Also, don't be surprised when your order is shipped incomplete, incorrect, and in packaging that has obviously been returned.

When I had to get ahold of them, calling once an hour eventually I got ahold of someone. Most emails were ignored, the few that were replied back I rarely got anything that solved my problem or answered my question. Unfortunately had issues like this with a couple other miata vendors too.

I did eventually get everything, but it was delayed.

Of course you didn't, not without a tracking number.

Now i finally got an Order update, and a tracking number.
No response to emails though, but as long as I get the stuff I'm reasonably happy.

I did the same quite a while back. Emailed 2x, no response in 48 hrs, called 2x a few hours apart.

The owner had the gall to complain about me bothering him, told me there were no installation instructions and that it was up to me to source missing parts and then blocked my phone number. I was not rude nor did I raise my voice, I just told him that he should include instructions or provide a warning on the product page.

Don't give this guy your money.

Hopefully he will read these types of threads and learn from them, or maybe somebody will forward a link. I was just searching for a comparison of the gutted VTCS, Flat Top Manifold, and Skunk2 and stumbled upon his website blog talking about the Skunk manifold. Many of us have experienced a degradation of service during the pandemic but transaction delays can usually be smoothed over with a little honest communication. There aren't that many Miata focused businesses and it's sad to see another on the verge of failing.

My experience was actually prior to the pandemic (2 separate negative interactions) but I agree. Communication is such a key point to running any kind of business, and it being technical subject matter makes this even more critical.

I hope that Fab9 will improve, but based on years of negative feedback with no changes I do not see that happening. Even more reason to support the guys at 949/SuperMiata or Bill at MiataRoadster. Their pre/post sale communication has always been excellent, and their instructions/technical writing is top notch, detailed and clear.

Seriously, shout out to Emilio and Ed, so much great information and service given to the community over the years.

For anyone who comes across this thread asking similar answers, you have to call them. That is the only way I got responses.

They'll still give you the runaround regarding promising delivery dates, but they do deliver eventually. Maybe I'm just still salty over head stud delays, maybe it's better now.

It's always been this way. These communications issues aren't an affect of the pandemic or anything else. Fab9 has always lied about stock levels and has always been inconsistent with communications once money has been accepted. You do get your parts eventually, but you'll never know when.

Glad to see that Bryan is still the same ole POS he has been for the last 6+ years.... Im legitimately shocked he is still in business, but I suppose its not difficult when you have a clean looking site that appears to have everything you need...I've said it before and I will say it again, I have spent far too much money with him in the past, and he has personally lied to me time and time again and he will never see another penny from me. And I will voice it every opportunity I get because business owners like him do not deserve the money from customers...

Sing you poked the thread I can mention that I got my parts in the end, but no response to any of the communications.

Calling, as in picking up a corded phone and expect someone in the other end to pick up and have useful information, is something I haven't done in about 10 years.

Calling only works until he decides that he's done providing "support" and he blocks your number

ouch. I've never ordered from them but was looking at their forced inductions cams for 1.8 motors. Guess I need to keep right on looking.

Anyone else out there sell a good set of turbo cams for 1.8 engines?
