Awesome. Now we're getting somewhere.
That car is built exactly for the power it makes, and can't be increased with the few things it has.
Did he say what exactly the clutch brand was, and ft/lb of power it was capable of?
Either way, it doesn't matter. That engine does not have aftermarket forged rods. Forged rods and pistons at the MINIMUM or it will blow up with any more power. Plus like i said, it's more than likely got overboost turned on.
So i'd just leave the car exactly how it is, and drive the **** out of it, have a ton of fun.
If you want more power you'll be building a new engine, and you'll find out that the 1.6 sucks so you'll go with a 1.8 and at that point you might as well upgrade turbos, header, downpipe, injectors, 6 speed, likely a clutch, who knows what else.
Basically you'll be taking everything out and putting all new and better in.

Well either way, you'll be upgrading to a 1.8 flywheel and clutch rendering the one you have useless.
Like i said, you have to change everything to get more out of it.

Either way, it's a 60 trim, i can read it.

Not to mention a mid 12 second miata is no slouch.. he could probably make another 20-30whp out of it without grenading the motor right away as well. Although I wouldn't do that unless you have a good daily and you can afford to blow it dafuqup.
HOWEVER, i understand your desire for power OP. Keep the car intact and build a baller 1.8 setup and shoot for the moon. 350+whp.

I guess if money is no object like OP makes it seem to be, who are we to tell him no.
I will say though, that making 400+ HP is NOT like making 500+ with a 350 chevy, or the likes. It's no where near as easy, or affordable.
Plus it's probably best to learn how to tune while it's in it's current state. Though, if money is no object, might as well just do what someone already said and start writing blank checks.

That's just to get the engine swapped over.
But there are countless build threads on this site, one of which is mine and very picture detailed showing that it's completely possible by fabbing and making things yourself.
You want to do this overnight, get ready to pay. Otherwise, sit tight, and do some more reading. Seriously, spend a few hours a night just reading build threads here.
Come back to this thread in two weeks.
