Nope.

Almost all of them are automatic. Every single one I saw at the yard I went to had flex plates on them, and both of my engines are from auto donors as well.

Auto donor car is no problem at all. The engines are all the same.

So apparently these new Z3 kits are sold out...anyone here buy one and get it installed yet—any field reports?

Thanks for the update, David. Looking forward to hearing from users. With the Rocketeer team going turnkey-only, the K swap is next in line for interesting-yet-affordable engine swaps.

Will these kits work with a z4 or lower hp k swap? Looking for a viable ChampCar option.

Full-race makes a turbo k manifold that's reasonably priced. Would pair nicely with the Garrett G's: https://www.full-race.com/store/hond.../fk8-manifold/

Nope, we always use engines from automatic cars. I don't think I've ever gotten one from a manual.

These things can do 400whp at like 10 psi without much effort at all. I had a discussion with our tuner about them, and he told me he had a 9th gen Civic Si on the dyno recently (k24z7, exact same thing as k24z3) and he made 580whp on 100% stock internals. We'll be machining our own turbo adapter for the head soon and I'd like to do a basic 500whp setup in a shop car to explore the potential. $300 engines and transmissions that can handle that kind of power reliably is exciting so we must do it. For science.
Any updates on the turbo adapters? Also, will the oval section of the exhaust clear ZF and Getrag transmissions?

Great work. Id love to see these K swaps more available and commonplace.

We have 3D printed a turbo adapter for test fitting, but I am still waiting on my G25-660 to arrive that I ordered on 12/3/19.

The oval section of the exhaust should clear with a BMW trans, however in my opinion I would rather see customers run a 3" round exhaust straight down the passenger side of the tunnel. With the PPF deleted, there is enough room to run the exhaust. That's how we did our other turbo car.

How does the plug and play harness work on an NA? Does it isolate the ECU and engine from the factory harness? I'm VVT swapped and have a mildly hacked up harness.

I have been buying this stuff from david for a while now. Someone above asked for pics of oil pan. If you still need i can post. I found locally here in tn. My engine, zf trans, and getrag rear for right at 1k total. It was a little under due to trans and rear being 250 or so each. David has also been super helpful with this the whole time. As soon as the intake manifolds are back in he will be sending it as well and i can post any pics of parts if needed.
