Default noob engine ques

have an 06 block of the 2L displacement was wandering if my 94 1.8L head would fit

Take the HG from the 1.8l Head and lay it on the 2.0 block and see how all the holes line up.

Now if the fire rings of the 1.8l HG hang over the cyl bore of the block, try the 2.0l HG on the 1.8l head and check that way.

This will let you know if the oil feed, oil drain,water ports and head bolts all line up and allow the head to bolt to the block.

As far as how brackets and time belt and such will fit, I can not awnser that.

The NC (3rd-generation MX-5) is a completely different car from the NA/NB (1st/2nd-generation MX-5). There are no parts in common, other than the fender turn signals on Euro-market cars. If you look at the engine, you'll see that the intake and exhaust are on opposite sides.

So no. Not even a little bit.
