Default throttle response off boost

it is often said that during the turbo lag period and even before the boost threshold nothing happens in a turbo engine. it is true that the low TC + Small displacement, the pressure drop in the intake circuit, the restriction in the exhaust duct does not help. however, shouldn't a sufficiently large cylinder capacity of 3l minimum correct part of the problem? and offer better torque off boost and even a good first initial response when opening the throttle during the turbo lag phase??? obviously not as much initial torque as the equivalent displacement na 3l but better than the smaller na say 2l?

I think he's trying to ask if larger displacement will offset turbo lag...

Turbo lag doesn't necessarily mean a reduction in power over na, it's just the delay before the onset of boost...

so out of boost the accelerator response will be the same??

Maybe, it depends on the characteristics of each engine/setup. I feel like my car had better throttle response off-boost after putting the turbo in. I could see how it may reduce throttle response in certain circumstances though...especially if you had a really big turbo.

Contrary to popular legend, the turbo does not fire so I guess adding a not too big turbo improves your response due to the fact that the one does apply continuous pressure in the intake manifold.lag, as it is seen by many as a phase where nothing happens before the turbo, does not always seem to be the case if I am feeling yours. obviously there is a lag between when you press the accelerator and the turbo comes to full load but the initial response before the full boost can be good
