Default Shlammed's Fabrication Picture Thread...

Just a place to post a "blog" type thread of my welding pictures and upcoming jobs that I will be working on to seperate my pictures from the technical part of the fab thread.

*this is not intended to be an advertising post. This is just to post pictures of projects I do to give back some visuals to the fabrication enthusiasts*

First page will be a bit picture intensive.

Pictures of a Honda B16 system that I built.

Few details:
-Full top mount Vband turbo manifold with TiAL housing and 38mm MS-v wastegate for 2871R. Response based small runner "road race" system.
-3" vband downpipe with flex and block mount
-3" vband high flow cat
-3" vband catback with polished resonator and muffler
-2.75" polished aluminum cold pipe with TiAL vband BOV.
-2.25" hot pipe
-3" Pre-turbo intake pipe with remote mounted air filter

Pictures in no particular order...

I know these are likely duplicates from the fab thread but this is where it will start to differ.

Upcoming work:
-blast pipe is coming back in for a race muffler install and to add a high flow cat to that mid pipe
-another honda civic is coming down for a cold air intake to be built for his K series EK civic swap

Lots of prospective jobs that people have been inquiring about, but nothing else solidified at this point. It will give me time to rewire my shop.

One of the notable prospective jobs is a header build older Fiat that has been swapped with a Honda K series and another gentleman inquired about having some "custom work done" on some race car replicas... we will see if those come into fruition.

Cheers,
M

Im not out to advertise. I just want to show some pictures of the projects I work on. Its more of a build thread for what I build. I dont have a miata anymore and I dont offer anything for them to compete with people who DO advertise. I have contributed lots to the forums over the 5 years I have been on this website; Im not out to upset anyone here.

If there is a problem with posting pictures, mods feel free to PM me and we can discuss it.

That's what I was going to say! I have burnt my hands with proper leather gloves, getting close to the flame. How do you manage with mechanix gloves (<vent>mechanix gloves SUCK, I HATE THEM... </vent>)

Oh yeah: NICE WORK!

I have a hoodie and leather gloves around. I just hopped on the welder quick when the photographer was there to do the shoot. I only welded total of 1 weld around the 3" pipe the whole time he was there with low amperage.

Thanks for the comments guys.

haha, that car isnt in a running state yet. the engine is out again and the car is going off for paint.

As you can probably see, the engine bay paint isnt the greatest...

Civics are fine. As a guy who does this kind of work I dont want to say no because a car is boring. I get all kinds of interest from people with wacky cars because there generally just isnt the aftermarket support for them.

Have a new B series manifold all tacked up...just as I dropped my torch with my only large diameter cup on it. Will finish the manifold up this week once I get a new ceramic.
