I have the FE3 Miata manifold and downpipe done (besides WG) I just don't have a completed picture. This is all I have for now...

One straight exhaust one muffled?

 

That first one has a muffler, you can see it. I'm sure it drops the noise level a couple db.

 

One resonated, one muffled with large resonator.

Resonators work better with some piping after them (not at the back, near the tip)

Starting a custom intake manifold for the FE3 Miata. Hammer formed plenum over this form I have built.

-Straight tuned length runners
-thick aluminum for boost
-turbo optimized plenum
-hammer formed 2 piece plenum

Runners welded on. Need to finish the plenum floor and then form the plenum halfs over the wood form that I have started.

The wood form needs a lot of shaping in the throttle area.

Oil pan nearly done.

Need to put an oil temp sensor bung and drain hole in it still.

I will have some later. the floor is fully welded, and the rest is stitched for structure.

 

Decided to get a good camera lens to show off all of the work I have coming up.

Havent updated this since I started the manifold for that collector above.

Here is a few pictures of the process. The old hot side parts were just dropped off to make the downpipe, so its game time.

Manifold is done besides the wastegate, which i will place after the downpipe is done.

Should do pretty well.

 

Sweet manifold. I like your jig/welding fixture.

 

I also really like that jig. Gives me better ideas on how to build mine.
