Ads in links
Well here is your problem. I know of a few ways to kill this

you can't tell by looking at a url that you don't want to click on it?
it's for bodybuilding.com. i don't need to quote the post in order to see that. i'm confused.

But when they were still active the vig links don't show when you quote someone (until you post it). But if someone adds a link manually it will show the link when you quote someone.
The javascript adds the link after the page source loads, so if you actually go in and look at the source code there are no html marks for the links, it's all added via javascript. So, it never actually shows as a link until you post it.
