What the hell? I just got a refund from the guy with no communication even though I had a right to those wheels.

The **** man? Speak up here.

crappy move on his part but everyone knows in today's America there is no such thing as a verbal agreement or contract.

You know what they say: " It didn't happen if it didn't happen on paper"

He did just flush his seller rep down the drain though.

Sounds to me like the OP was waiting for one person so say, screw Rider and his deposit - and he did. I don't even see why he started this thread as I would bet he already made up his mind before posting.

That sucks. I think crap like this damages the forum as a whole. It's one less trustworthy member. I guess it's an "I don't really know you, so why should I give a **** about you mentality."

By his own admission,he backed out of a contract. He should be banned from buying/selling/trading anything on the site for 6 months(except buying official Miataturbo.net gear).

I know that I am late to this party, but I felt that my seller feedback on this forum entitles me to a (late) opinion.

Bad, bad form for refunding the difference. Bad enough giving dibs and taking a delayed payment even without a downpayment, but completely off base taking a cash deposit and then returning it after the fact. I also support a six month ban on the classifieds section.

dick move!

a smart move would have been to not start the thread in the first place. now instead of just being a bad seller, he looks like a complete asshat.

Ok guys I know it was alittle messed up what I did. I had all intentions of selling rider the wheels when we first talked but like I said a very good friend of mine called me in a pinch. At this point I was more worried about helping a friend in need and I wasn't worried about collecting any payment from him. It's not like I sold them from under him to someone else. Yes Rider I apologize for what happened but I'm not a bad person and had no intention of trying to pull anything on you

I fully understand both parties' side. but in reality one sour transaction ( not even a type that involves screwing someone out of money) shouldn't blunder the 7 he's already had I mean I've meet him personally. He's really cool down to earth and fair, obviously if he was trying to screw anyone out of money the first seven would've know??? This would appear differently to everyone if that were the case, but it's not.

Those wheels brand new, in that size, with his color choice from ebay, shipped to Ryders door is 424.00, So yes, you were getting a "deal" on them for 250 + shipping? but after shipping how much would it have cost?? how much of a deal? I understand everyone is upset because he went back on his word, but nobody's perfect.
I mean if you had a best friend who really needed those wheel's like john and you had already had a down payment on them, but the down payment was from a complete stranger. Idk No shipping, helping a friend, and helping yourself/ out-ways, selling them online, waiting for the payment, and shipping them.

Ryder said he had been looking for them for a while. That I can understand why your upset, but those rims are every where, I swear. I'm not justifying johns actions just giving Ryder an alternative

this is just my outlook on them, like I said I'm not justifying anyones actions, just calling it how I see it. Now everybody is crapping on johns threads as if he planned on it happening that way again. Hello has everyone thought about the other transactions he's done? No? He's a subscriber, not a scam artist.

Mods should put a thread link in is F/s thread to this thread and erase everyones thread crappage. we should let the buyer decide what they want to do...

He shouldn't of made the new thread asking for opinions if he was just going to go against the majority and do what he was planning on doing anyway...........

I'm down with just forgetting about it. I just really wanted these. I don't have a lot of money - the 100 dollars difference it would have been for means a month of saving for me, so that's why I really wanted these.

No hard feelings, bro.
