Default Other engine management sub-forums

Why are there no other threads started for the other common engine management options like the Link, TEC, Haltech, or SDS?

You are free to start any thread you like pertinent to the Miata and/or its' many control systems. There will either be interest; or the thread will die a natural death.

really? only a few people? I know less people run the TEC, Haltech, and AEM but from reading posts on miata.net, I thought the Link system would be the most popular engine management. Seems like the emanage and MS crowd are growing though.

Still I think that the Engine Management topic should have it's own forum and MS being a subforum under that...

I know there are some SDS Miatas out there, mine being one...

Maybe at least a place for "Other" Engine Management systems would help inform and educate the masses as to what is really available.

I think the MegaSquirt forum should be viewable to guests like the e-Manage one is. Sometimes I check out the forum on public machines and I hate logging in on 'em.

What do you think?

no. the only reason the EM forum, or any forum, is viewable is for bot indexing.

IMO, having the MS forum is good because MS is widely used, and since it's DIY, people are bound to have more questions about it. Other management comes more ready-to-use and would generate fewer topics.

Could you start a Motec subforum so I could pound my pud in there alone?

A general EM and tuning forum would be good to discuss general tuning areas like timing under boost, speeding up spoolup through tuning, etc that isn't particular to one form of EM.

I'm not sure how much interest it would garner though.

If you guys start a revalation in the miata community and hsot a 100+ unit GB like the WI one then maybe you will have enough clout as it is. The people who know will answer any question you have and the people who think they know will answer as well. Together there should be a happy medium to get you down the road.

I doubt a MOTEC group buy would go over too well with the members on this board.

From all i have read, MS is the way to go, for the price, and the amount of information that is available here and other places.. and the amount of control it gives you.. and ease of modification.. and and and.......

I will be getting one after my DIY project is up and running
