I always thought this was pretty much covered under Race Prep. Please don't let mt.net become a forum with 10000+ subsections.

I second this motion, only to try it out for a while because it may attract some new contributors like Adrian Newey.

Default suggested new section "drag racing"

It seems that a few on this forum are into drag racing. While I don't do it, I find it interesting. There have been some good posts recently relating to this style of racing, and it might be nice to have a place where people can post what works. After all, one of the best things about this site is that we try to keep people from needing to reinvent the wheel. "Been there, done that" threads save time and money.

I was thinking a subsection of "race only"

This and the aero section would just be hardly visited and even more rarely posted in. We hardly have any drag posts in the race section, I don't see how a new section would suddenly create more drag racers.

Same goes for aero, although we have more people that care about that.

It's more for organization. Is it really that difficult to create a new section? The more subsections we create, the more powerful the search function becomes because you can focus the search to the subsection.

We can at least try them out and see how they develop. If there is no movement in a couple months, then move the posts and delete the subsection. Crap, let's not squash ideas before we even give them a try.

We should add a "drift" section.

It would be like a spam filter!

It would have to be a subsection of "general" though, because it isn't racing related.

I would definitely be down for a drag racing section. Hell, I know a ton of other members that would be happy for this section.

I think it would cater to the big power, highway racers too.

I think we also need a S&M section for the darker side of the miata culture.

Default suggested new section "new section suggestions"

It seems that a few on this forum are into failaids. While I don't do it, I find it interesting. There have been some good posts recently relating to this style of life, and it might be nice to have a place where people can post what works. Theres an entire website devoted to this retardation. So slam your car and get marooned on a speed bump at CR.

I can think of some folks who would frequent such a section.
