It's something in the vbulletin_fixed_header.js code. On any sort of resize/scroll event, it looks at the width of the list items, and the width of the search bar, and tries to resize to make sure everything fits nicely. It just might not be 100% compatible in some browsers -- as it looks to recalculate constantly.

@Robb M. Can we do something about links not reforming as the page title? They used to.
For example, if I paste this url:

it used to reformat into this:

@Robb M. Another day, another MT.net issue . No formatting on the site anywhere as far as I can tell. Issue persisting with Firefox, chrome, and internet exploder. Mobile site seems fine, but desktop version on my phone shows the same issues.
