On mobile, clicking on the "red dot word bubble" on the right jumps to the first unread post in a thread: https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...385b1ac9d5.png |
I will say that the feature to jump pages while scrolling is very cool.

Also, related threads and/or infinite scroll can be turned off. Post #43 for direct link, in User Options.
|
It just pains me to see engineering time being spent developing features which make the user experience worse and will be turned off by those patient enough to figure out how to do so.
|
Yes to this. At least I finally got the damn related threads crap turned off on the forums I am on that have it. If you want to add new stuff great, but don't cram it down our throats. Why not make it so the default is off? Then those who want it can turn it on and deal with the resulting loss of brain matter.
|
The greatest flaw of infinite scroll, and moreso with related threads, is that new users won't realize that they are posting in the wrong thread. They should be off by default, or better yet, just not exist as options at all.

On desktop, the down arrow to the left of the thread title jumps to the first unread post. This should still work on infinite scroll.
Even so, I still don't see the point to infinite scroll. It's a solution in search of a problem. --Ian |

That goddamn "related" thread about some teal Honda... For fuck's sake. I know IB has turned back on related threads right away when I see the pic of that car pop up. The stupid ass algorithm thinks a thread about a completely different car is related to every thread on this forum. Not only is the feature super annoying, it's also totally broken.
look eerily familiar? https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...115c51ee14.jpg |
admin it looks like nobody likes the changes
be the man and just revert them if you need monies to survive im sure somebody will buy you a pizza now i need to edit my custom css |
Problem with the mobile site. When I scroll in one direction then scroll in the other, it doesn't move in the new direction. I have to lift my finger and try scrolling again.
It's really fucking annoying. Does this shit not get tested in the real world? |

Hahahaha that stupid honda thread is "related" to both my ls3 build and my beater thread....wut.
Also, the site is slow as fuck for me now. Pictures didn't take any time to load in the past, now I get fuzzy ass pictures for a few seconds before getting them. |

HOLY FUCK AND I CANT EVEN USE BRIGHT RED TO DISPLAY MY ANGER?!!?!

You dumb motherfuckers had better fix the prop system so I don't have to load a bumper page and then re-load the thread every time I want to downvote a post explaining another one of your shitty ideas.
|
Props working fine on my end. Have you tried consulting your pro props developer?
|
They must have fixed it, downvoting your post worked just fine bae :-*

I feel used.
