Seriously, if I can play BF4 on a ps4 with a mouse/keyboard I will consider buying one.

And this is why it's different for everybody. You can't deny that for some people console makes sense, another others it doesn't. Why would I buy a console if I'm happy playing the games on PC, at whatever level my gpu can handle.

Why would I exclusively game on PC if don't want to:
sit at my desk
always be wanting to have the best gpu
not have anything for friends to play when they are over
not be able to play with my friends who have PS4
etc...

To each his own.

Now back to why PS4 is win.

The only benefit that I see to a console is to play games not available for Pc like grand turismo. Other than that PC>console hands down. If u want a joystick get one for pc. Same **** better graphics.

PC is better, it just IS. Any argument you have against PC can be countered easily.


Saying console is better than PC is like saying clubroadster is better than MT.

I think its all a bunch of BS with the X bone. It is completely ridiculous to require me to have to have an internet connection to phone home in order to play a game that I PURCHASED. They are pulling more and more from the model of apps on phones. You don't own the game, you pay for a license that is connected to you and you are only allowed to use. Owning software is now a thing of the past. This is one of the reasons I quit playing PC games. And what happens in the future when legacy support is stopped? Your games will simply stop working. I still have my ps1, dreamcast and sega genesis, I still break them out and play my older games. In 10+ years does my XB1 just become a big paper weight when they shut down the servers?

One of the greatest things to do as a kid was grab up all my games and head over to a friends house for all night gaming sessions.

I work in advertising and I don't trust for a single second any of the major advertisers. If there is some way for them to get access to all this data the XB1 is able to collect they will. They will push for facial tracking if your not in front of the TV they will pause the commercial, they will push for information feedback from the system about how many people are watching stuff, what age, sex, what their effing heart beat is at the exact second their product was shown. Sure its not there now, but microsoft will cave.

 

And microsoft will phase out the XB1 servers, just like they do with cowodoody or halo, once the new one comes out they shut down the servers for the old one so you cant play online multiplayer with it anymore. They cant do that with PC, people will just host their own servers, even if a dedicated server application isnt released. someone will make one.

 

Cool story bro. I'll have my PS4 hooked up to a 1080p projector at 120" with a home theatre setup.

I bought my gpu with brute forcing in mind. So now I can run hashcat or pyrit and go play PS4 while I set you up the bomb. Plus winblowz is for and gaming on linux isn't exactly optimal.

 

I was just playing around, I don't take the internet seriously.

 

So what you're saying is instead of having the option of playing new games with high end graphics, you want to be limited by the video card that came on the device when it was first released? You must be a mac guy too.

 

I know pricing is irrelevant in this discussion when referring to PC vs Console...

But for those arguing about how expensive PCs might be, are you also considering the price of your TV? A 26" Monitor that a PC gamer sits 2 feet away from costs a hell of a lot less than a 55" LCD that the console gamer sits 15 feet away from. What about the price of your home theater system versus my surround sound headphones?
