I like that you can strip the aero kit off the Mazdaspeed Miata in 4, but I do find it a bit twitchy with stock equipment compared to the NA.
The Top Gear test track is proving fun too. Some friends and I have a competition going for fastest time, which I think is 1:40.480 currently.

So the Hummer is good for something... a battering ram. Modified the engine as far as I could, and took it out on a B class race and actually kept up with the front pack, but I wasn't in it to win. 8,000lbs of steel moves average size cars very easily. Also fun to hit them head on at 120mph. They stop and you keep going. It's also fun to see how many times you can make it flip end over end or roll. Get it going fast and get in the grass sideways and it WILL roll. Even hitting rumble strips in a hard turn at full lock makes it jump and roll. I was surprised that it's actually very durable, like you would imagine the real ones are. Where a typical car would be all crinkled up, the Hummer barely has a mark on it. The bumper and brush guard on the front really keeps the damage relatively low in hard impacts.
My first attempt at doing anything serious with applying decals, so dont hate. I probably wasted an hour making that stupid turbo.
I think the color scheme is very MTnet-ish, lol

Not bad for a first attempt, not bad at all. I wish my **** from F3 transferred over, but I guess the new car models ruined that. I had some pretty awesome cars covered in vinyl.
I'm still amazed at how real some of the locations and cars look.
Notice my sweet *** MT decal! Go get yours today! FREE BITCHES!

I thought maybe it would be, with now having drag tires... but I still can't get a decent launch anywhere, for ****. It may help to use a wheel and pedal, but with the controller, the only way I can consistently get a decent launch is to either gear first gear WAY tall, and bog it off the line, or to launch from 2nd or 3rd gear. Drag tires don't seem to do **** for me, and don't look to improve acceleration rating any more than regular race tires... I dunno. I guess I'll go back to my noob AWD drag. Use my 8 second Veyron.

I had a Fairlane I was trying to make into a drag car, to copy one that a local guy runs and holds records with, but at around 900hp it's just impossible to put the power down. I will still probably do the vinyl and make it look like his, even if I can't drive it. His car is one of the loudest cars I have ever heard. Big block Ford through open exhaust, and really high compression. Sounds like it's ripping the space/time continuum apart, a higher pitch than most cars at idle. Sounds good while making all of that noise though.
I have no idea how you made the MTnet decal that well, my hat goes off to you.
But anyway, I tried some drag racing and found it very difficult. You either spin like crazy or bog, there doesnt seem to be any way to make it launch properly. I suspect its all in doing weird tuning **** just like before.

Probably could get it to launch somewhat decent, but like you said, it would take trickery to do so. Sucks too, so many nice cars worthy of being made drag cars. Hell, there are 20-30 only suited for drag, and drag is broken. They need a proper track with physics to account for rubber built up on track, so cars can actually launch. I also noticed and hated that in practice mode, you can't run a 1/4 mile pass, because as soon as it loads, both the overall timer and lap timer start, so you have no time to prepare a proper launch (as if a launch is possible).
Have the same problem. I do use traction control tho. No wheel and pedals so all I get is a trigger for throttle. Did make a nice V12 Audi for soccer. Heavy awd and lots of torque. It'll push a Humvee sideways plus another little car. Everyone seems to play soccor like 5 year olds tho. Everyone just chases the ball
I'm using TC and it works great. Stupid part is tuning. Assuming you're in a Free Race to tune your drag car, you need to restart the race every time you change something, since the clock starts as soon as the race does, instead of waiting for you to move. It also starts at idle, but with 900hp that changes quick. Luckily you don't have to reload the race every time, it restarts quickly.
