anyone who gets rushed early before they weren't smart enough to build defense or a unit will call cheese.

 

You guys know that the update reduced the effectiveness of early rushes right?

The only time early rushes become a problem for me is in 4v4s, but that's just inherent in that game type. It's easy to hold off 6 pools, 7 pools, reapers. No problem. You just need to be more prepared and have your *** covered.

 

My normal 1v1 build can easily be converted to an anti-cheese lol.

And yes I have noticed a decrease in cheesing with the update

early rushes are garbage now. i don't even bother now. 7pool rushes is how i learned how to counter them.

 

early rushes are still win. if you can hurt their econ you have an advantage off the bat, they are slow to recover and you can continue to upgrade/build/expand.

 

i wont discuss rush tactics (since i may, or may not use them in this tourny), but they can be good tools in weeding out the noobs. the best rush is to just send all workers right away to kill the other teams worker within the first 30 seconds. super-duper cheese

 

Now that's what I call cheese. Lol. That's also the second-most all-in terrible terrible rush ever, right behind the command center/planetary fortress cheese.

 

someone tried that rush on me, didnt work. I killed all his workers, got my zealot up and took out his remaining three with one unit.

Every time I play 2v2 I get paired with a n00b who gets raped by a rush, and then Im all alone, and then I get raped. ugh.

 

Yeah that happens sometimes. Lars and I got steamrolled yesterday three times in a row :(

 

Tell me how does this happen? I was ranked 42 gold in my division dont play for three weeks come back win 3 dominate games against gold players and then get demoted to bronze 40?

 

It has allot to do with your points gain loss rate. I was rank 15 gold when I was promoted to play. Reason for that is I was playing 5-10 games a day and gaining points at a very high rate.

i wish I could play that many games a day with the wife and kids it just aint happening. I figured that because my wife is Korean I could do alot better due to osmosis I know they have that damn SC gene and it just aint working! lol
