I made gold 3v3 the other night as well. I can tell a difference in my opponents skill.
But I've been picking up strats off them. Like mass marines/medivacs. I'm 3 for 3 on that strat, two 3v3's and one 1v1 lol.

I haven't done the league stuff yet but I've been playing 2v2 AI with a co-worker online. No issues beating them on Medium but Hard is a different story.
Oh and I'm ravynx@gmail.com Can anyone connect to the vent server or just clan members?

I need a new video card for sure. The on-board BS in this computer isn't handling starcraft 2 all that well. Anyone care to share some knowledge of modest priced video cards that will handle SC2?
You can get a used 9800GT for about 50$, works great for me. New is 80$.
Depends on what you consider modest. Would suggest something in the 2xx series of GeForce, but that might be more than your opinion on what modest is.

Definitely sub $100. More than 100 bucks will buy me a lot of things i'd rather have for my car or credit card payments that i'd much rather make lol.
Here's a good option to go newer:

90$ shipped, a generation newer, not going to be much faster than the 9800 though.

I've got a laptop with a 9800M GTS, and it will play fine at 1080P. I also have a laptop with a GTX280M, and it will play at ultra settings at 900P, but I turn it down to medium if I'm playing some of the custom, unit-spamming maps.
The Home Theater PC I built for my GF's family will even play it at 60fps with medium-low settings at 900P with a $40 HD 4350.
So basically, if you've got a discrete graphics card that was released in the last 4 years, you can probably play SC2 fine.
