Whats the point to planet side? Do you upgrade ur character or what? From everything i've seen it seems like u get tossed in a random battle and shoot at people with no end and after you exit the the battle all your progress is gone and u start all over.
For example in WOT you upgrade ur tank, then buy the next one then so forth. Mech warrior you buy a mech upgrade it and so forth. Planet side on the other hand, none of the reviews say anything about that. It's all just people using the same weapon shooting at shit. |
If you buy a rifle does it go away after the battle is over?

Definitely would install TF2 if that happens... Cats expansion after that would be boss.

The fellow who created that has a LOT of free time on his hands.
Mann Co. was sufficiently impressed that Saxton Hale himself personally sent the dude a signed letter (via Valve): https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1361293611 |
That is absolutely the best form letter I have ever read.

Basically, two giant road-train type vehicle speeding through a canyon, inexplicably connected together via a pair of catwalks. Lots of environmental hazards-if you fall off the vehicle, you die. And between the two vehicles there is a wind effect that deflects projectiles fired across. Dogs? |
I dont remember another class in the original TFC. I played TFC a lot more back when it was on the Source engine or whatever it is.
|
Are they actually following through with this though? Or are these just ideas?

Haha. It's no Balloonicorn, for certain.
I recently became aware that there's apparently a large and thriving marketplace in which people buy and sell in-game cosmetic items in exchange for actual money, according to a rate table which defines a market value for each item, sort of like a stock exchange. Most crates, for instance, are typically worth about $0.01, while the Inflatable Municipal Ombudsman sells for over $10. (!) Given how difficult Tux is to obtain, I imagine it will wind up being an extremely rare item after all is said and done. I'll be curious to see what it winds up trading for. I need to setup a few alternative steam accounts and stock up on penguins. |
Thats what it looked like, but I wasnt positive. Lars, you know you want to get me a penguin!

To be honest, I don't have time for that kind of crap. I have a real job that earns me money.

When the robot-chicken hat came out, the way it worked was that you signed up for some free online service and they emailed you a code. So I created two throwaway email accounts and wound up with two chicken hats. This one will be slightly more labor-intensive (I should have kept a ghost image of the ubuntu machine I created before I nuked it) but I guess I can bring up another one and trade myself a few penguins.

Civilian (Classic) The Civilian, otherwise known as The Hunted or VIP, is a playable class in the Team Fortress classic series of games. It is not only playable in Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic, but also in Enemy Team Fortress. Role The Civilian is the "escortee" in VIP maps for the Team Fortress classic series of games. He is only armed with the Umbrella. His role is to reach an evacuation point before being killed by the assassins. The Assassins need to kill the Civilian while fighting off advancing Bodyguards. The Bodyguards need to protect the Civilian while he tries to escape. On the Hunted map, the Assassins get 25 points if they kill the Civilian. If the Civilian reaches the escape truck, he and the Bodyguards get 50 points. Whenever the Civilian dies or makes it to the truck, all players are moved back to their starting positions. Trivia

Not sure about the old Unreal version, but there is a CTF_Convoy map in TF2. It's not a very popular map for some reason, but I think it's kind of cool.
