To the OP, please just drop the subject. The answers and solutions have been given. This is a pretty easy fix and you seem more than capable of performing it.

Miataturbo.net is not a personality contest, so please don't waste your breath(bandwidth) on trying to call these douche's out.

But, do report back in when you have solved your problem.

18psi -- make sure to leave free-play as the article suggests otherwise you risk damaging some stuff... I adjusted the switch/stopper to ensure i still had free-play.

@alik, a quote from supertroopers:
Mac: But our shenanigans are cheeky and fun!
Thorny: [referring to Farva] Yeah, and his shenanigans are cruel and tragic.
Foster: [after a pause] Which... makes them not really shenanigans at all.
Mac: [in a silly voice] Evil shenanigans!

Captain O'Hagan: I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says, " Shenanigans."

to whoever suggested adjusting the engagement though: THANK you. Ever since I installed my ACT its been engaging way too early. Not to the point of stopping me from shifting, but enough to have to depress teh pedal all teh way to the floor.

I'll try adjusting the rod today

That's right, I said ROD

follow up - the clutch adjustment was successful, shifting is much more pleasant now under load.

Nice dude! Are you going to track the car or take it to the strip since you where so worried about shifter speed? Or is it strictly just a street car?

And Nagase, don't be a *******

thanks guys. regarding my uses, i autox-d once and liked it but i have one kid and another on the way so its tough to take off entire days :(

road course is out for me (time, like auto-x), plus my rollbar is too low & the cost is even higher.

so yea basically street car. and seriously i'm not trying to be a douche complaining about an extra tenth of a second to shift.. it was like basically unshiftable when accelerating hard, so this really made a big difference.
