even with a IM and TB, we still had trouble making more power on the 1.6L going from 17 to 20psi on a 2871.

but it wasnt my car, so could have been anything ... like a cracked weld on the IM


its probably a lot of everything: the TB, IM, Head, Cams

 

We made 360whp on Ryan's 1.6 fully built and with bigger cams and on e85
Coulda made over 400 and significantly wider powerband if we were on a 1.8

There is no comparison, they literally do everything better.

 

we saw something similar when neogenesis was trying to push his 1.6L -- then it blew up. i think he was having trouble going over 260rwhp.
